The spark I’ve been missing far too long Other lights could not see how empty my cup has become. Love of others has made me new. Although I was broken we have all been broken What I needed all along was an understanding Understanding of what we have grown to be (We need to understand)(I need to understand) Tonight in the sky I can look and know this is why I am alive. My spark will be lit and my cup will be filled. I’m alive.
As a nation we have survived As a world we have advanced As people we have grown weaker We strike fear into people so we aren’t the ones who feel it. Understanding what we’ve grown to be We see ourselves as stronger tho we only subside the truth We are born innocent yet wrapped in chains We are land of the free but true freedom is not an option because of what we are and what we have done.
